The Orinigal Bear & Butterfly Story

"Bear Meets  Butterfly"

Chapter One

Once upon a time.........there  was  a  Bear!  And  there was a........Butterfly.  As Fate would have it, one  day.....Bear met Butterfly........And they became Friends.  But, Bear's life was very, very crowded.  And when he wanted  to have tea with Butterfly, he  would need to plan in advance!

When  Butterfly would  visit Bear, she  would always bring him...honey.  For,  she had learned that honey was one of his favorite  things.  Even in his very, very crowded life, Bear  always made time  for Butterfly and honey.  Each time  Bear and  Butterfly would have tea and  honey, she  would look at him and say,  "Bear, please say my name..."

Now Bear liked saying her  name, but he was not inclined  to always say  it  just at  the  time Butterfly would ask.    So,  finally one day, when Butterfly  said, "Bear,  please say  my name.....", Bear  replied, "Not this time, I am going to do something  special!!!"

And  do you know what  Bear did???   He reached  into  his pocket and took out......a String Of Light!  And with that String  Of  Light,  he wrote her name!!!  "Butterfly."  "There now", said Bear, "that should  last  for one hundred  years!!!!!"

And  do  you know what? It  did!!!!!

Chapter Two

The other  thing Butterfly would say at  each  visit  is, "Bear what do you want?"

Sometimes, Bear would say,  "I want honey."

Sometimes, Bear would say, "I want  sleep."

Sometimes, Bear  would say,  "I  want chocolate."

But, one time Bear actually said,  "Butterfly, you ask  me  so many questions.  Just like the KGB!!!  And,  now I  do not know what I  want."

And  so,  Bear  and Butterfly made an agreement....At every tea party, he would reach into his  pocket for his String Of Light, and write her name.  At every tea party, instead  of asking Bear  what he wanted, Butterfly would simply say, "Bear, please  sing too me."

And........Bear would smile his special  smile and  begin to hum, "Mmmmmmmmmmm."  And  then  he would  BURST into his special song, "Doe-dee,  doe-dee, doe-dee,  sha,  sha,  sha,  ooo -la-la.  Doe-dee,  doe-dee,  doe-dee."    And  that would  always make Bear  and Butterfly very, very happy!!!
